I'm a little late with this post, because I ended up not getting as far as I wanted to. But I guess it's better than having nothing, so I posted what I could.
Chapter 73.5: The Hong Kong Encounter Side A is up on ff.net!
I've been wanting to write fluff for a long time, and Syaoran's birthday chapter might have been written before Chapter 73 was. Actually, it dates back to circa 2015, probably. You may all recognize some of the scenes from Syaoran's Birthday Omake #4.
Some of you might have correctly guessed that was actually not a dream sequence but real! Also, the good news is, I do have more of Chapter 73.5 written, but I just didn't have enough time to finish everything in time for Syaoran's birthday, unfortunately.

Wish-chan!!! It's good hearing from you again~~~and I loved reading this chapter. I had so many feelings (all good!) and it makes me grin from ear to ear haha. Poor Syaoran, what a busy birthday he's got this year~~~
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my favorite chapters. The pacing was succinct and moved along, and the humor was really original- I especially loved the Hot Takes, like Syaoron’s mom laying into him, setting us up to think she’s going to lay in sakura and then being like “you’re an angel, eat more toast”.
ReplyDeleteI also thought it was really fun to see Syaoran being secretly super into sakura just simply being in his room. That whole scene was sweet, romantically charged and really lovely. We’re getting to the point in the story now where it begs the question, “what’s taking these kids so long?! What is it that is holding them back?” It does seem like they’re in the perfect position to finally move forward- his family loves her, it would clearly be a great strategic/political match, and, oh yes, they’re in love and super into each other.
I also loved Sakura speaking about herself in such a positive way- that she is a powerful magician. Obviously it was in a teasing light, but it was good to hear her say it :).
I am SO EXCITED for the ball. Wear the backless dress, sakura. Knock him dead.

ReplyDeleteI have been reading your story since 2015. I truly adore it=)! I really think that it is one of the best CCS fan fictions out there! I love this chapter. It is so sweet and amusing! I read all your reviews on “Clear Card Act” as well and i found them all so incredibly funny and on point!!=) I sort of missed reading your opinions on CCS, so I was thrilled when i realized that a new chapter was out. I do really wish you the best=) I hope you will keep writing. You are so talented=)
Will your next chapter be out soon? =) i can’t wait to read it!=)

ReplyDeletejust want to say love your story! But i noticed at ff.net it said you updated with another chapter on August 12th, but i dont see anything beyond Ch 73-5: PArt A... wasnt sure if you were aware of the glitch... cant wait to read more!
I know you would work that piece in eventually! Ahh~ This chapter was so adorable! It was very Syaoran to think that the entire night was a dream, but sleep on the floor anyway. 🤣 I cannot wait until the birthday party. And I know that his party will be the last happy thing we'll see for a while, so we will need to hold onto that.
